HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE
THE MUSIC YOU WILL HEAR IS CALLED LADY IN RED
THIS SONG IS DEDICATED TO MY BEAUTIFUL IRISH SETTER
AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION LINLEYMVORNE LADY IN RED
My name is Anneliese Riley, I was born in Southport Queensland, and before I was born my parents had bought a beautiful Pedigree German Shepherd Dog, his name was "Touser", he was six months old when I arrived, and we were inseparable.
My parents always had dogs and after Touser they had Miniature Smooth-Haired Dachshunds, then Wire-Haired Dachshunds which they still have.
In 1980 my Dad had a dream about a red puppy in very poor condition, and the next day a delivery driver came to our business with an 8 week old Irish Setter Puppy, he was riddled with fleas and in poor condition. The man said he was the runt of the litter and did anyone want him, I wasn't there at the time, but some of the staff called this pup and he hid in our bathroom. Dad had called me and said bring some flea powder. I arrived and here was this little red scared puppy behind the toilet, so I called him and he came to me and it was love at first sight. I took him straight to the vet and we were both defleaed. Our butcher named him "Lord Rex".
I started Obedience training with him, and he excelled in every class, I also trained him to be a guard dog.
In 1983 I was living in Canberra and we bought an Irish Setter bitch her name was "Lady Kim", we Showed her and also did Obedience with her, in 1984 I bought a male Irish Setter I called him "Sir Charles" I also Obedience trained him and Showed and titled him. His name was "Aust.Ch. Tancleuth Grenadier" he was bred by Bill and Barbara Hinds from Canberra. Bill and Barbara became very close to me and they have been my inspiration that has been with me all these years, I became a breeder as we had made a plan, and I had a dream, to have Beautiful and Intelligent Irish Setters. We also had "Sir Charles's" litter sister "Shani" Aust.Ch.Tancleuth Karessa due to a relationship breakup no breeding was done with these two beautiful Irish.
While living in Canberra I met a wonderful Lady called Cheryl and her fiancee` who had two German Shepherd Dogs Caesar and Kelly, she had them trained impeccably and she ended up being my best friend and still is. I can quite easily say she is the best Obedience Instructor I know, she now has one of my Irish I bred Slievemish Tiarnan Rex, and he is doing very well in Obedience, only one more pass to go and he will have his CD title, she wanted to call him "Lord Rex" as she loved my Lord Rex so much and I love her German Shepherd "Caesar". I lost Lord Rex in 1989, and I was totally devastated, and in 1992 I lost "Sir Charles", and the devastation of losing both my boys took some years to deal with. My Irish are not just dogs, they are my life, they go with me everywhere, they all sleep with me, and they are my life.
In 1997 "Lord Rowan" was born, and he is my foundation Irish Setter Male, Aust.Ch. Karnachan Irish Jet Set, he is Obedience trained, trained as a guard dog, he has been modelling and of course he is shown and titled. He was an only child until in 2001 when "Lady Flanna" was born, the perfect partner for "Lord Rowan". I picked her up in Sydney on the way through to Queensland, and that is where my dreams started to be fulfilled.
